History of Our School
The school that we now call Market Rasen Church of England Primary School was opened as Market Rasen National School in 1822 on Willingham Road. In 1968 a separate Infants school was opened on Pasture Lane. In 1869 a new Girls school was opened and the existing school became the boys school. In 1907 the boys school became known as Market Rasen CE school and in 1932 the separate schools were reorganised into one school. Our current site used to house The Market Rasen Secondary Modern school which moved to De Aston's site in 1974. As this point Market Rasen C of E Primary took over that site we now use. Between 2010 and now every classroom in the school has been fully refurbished.
